Hooton was trained as a biochemist, gaining a B.A. and
a PhD, and followed a career in biochemical and immunological
research for many years. Over the past 30 years he has
explored many healing modalities, running healing (talking)
circles and being trained in energy work (Reiki, Touch
for Health, Brain Gym), Integrative Body Psychotherapy,
Philosophical (soul-centred) counseling, Family and
Systemic Constellations, trauma resolution through
Somatic Experiencing®, and pre- and perinatal development. He has a private practice working
with individuals, couples, families and groups; teaches
body-focused self-awareness and healing and Family and
Systemic Constellatons; and facilitates workshops in
Family Constellations. He brings a wealth of experience
when working with clients and students in an empowering,
holistic way.
